Women's single |
A singles match in badminton features one player on each side of the net. You'll get more of a cardiovascular workout in a singles game than in a game of doubles. This is because you are responsible for the entire side of your court.

Women's double |
Doubles badminton is played with four players, or two on each side of the net. Unlike singles badminton, the boundaries of a doubles game are marked by the outer lines of the court. The one exception to this rule is that the server uses the inner back line. The net on a doubles badminton court is set at 5 feet high.
MIXED DOUBLE
Mixed double |
In mixed doubles, the women will normally always try to play in the frontcourt area. Her partner will then cover the mid and backcourt area. This is assuming that the woman is not as strong as the man. If the woman is as powerful or more powerful than the man in the backcourt area, then a level doubles strategy can be adopted. For further discussion purposes, I will assume that women are better players in the frontcourt area.
